The Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety (ADIS) of WBSCTE&VE&SD has an excellent syllabus covering both theoretical and practical aspects of Industrial Safety needed for any type of industry.
The ADIS Course is meant for working professionals from the industries in the Safety and other departments and may switch over to the Safety department. Unemployed youth, who are having the requisite qualification may also join this course and look for a bright future in the industries.

The Course Intentions
As per the Factories Act, 1948, it is mandatory to keep required number of safety officers in every industry. However, there is a huge gap in demand and supply of qualified safety officers in India. Demand for qualified safety officers is increasing day by day due to rapid industrialization and with implementation of various infra projects, demand for safety officers has risen exponentially in India.
Eligibility
Candidates fulfilling following qualifications are eligible for admission in ADIS course.
- Bachelor of Engineering/Technology in any discipline from a recognized University and approved by AICTE.
- Bachelor of Science with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics from a recognized University approved by UGC.
- Diploma in any branch of Engineering/Technology recognized by any State Council of Technical Education.
- AMIE from Institution of Engineers (India).
